Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about cabro prices, block thickness, sub-base preparation, and paving installation in Nairobi & Kenya.

Cabro paving prices depend on the block thickness, color, and transport:

  • 50mm Light-Duty Ordinary Cabro: Approx. KSh 720/m² (ex-factory) or KSh 900/m² with delivery.
  • 60mm Medium-Duty Ordinary Cabro: Approx. KSh 805/m² (ex-factory) or KSh 985/m² with delivery.
  • 80mm Heavy Commercial Ordinary Cabro: Approx. KSh 1,100/m² (ex-factory) or KSh 1,280/m² with delivery.
  • 60mm Coloured Cabro (Red, Black, Yellow): Approx. KSh 1,250/m² (ex-factory) or KSh 1,450/m² with delivery.

For turnkey supply-and-installation (including ground excavation, hardcore, murram sub-base, quarry dust, laying, and kerbs), complete costs typically range between KSh 1,600 and KSh 2,200 per m² depending on ground topology.

  • 50mm Cabro: Designed for light pedestrian foot traffic, residential garden walkways, bicycle paths, and light car patios.
  • 60mm Cabro (Most Popular): The standard for residential driveways, residential parking forecourts, light delivery vans, and SUVs. Supports axle loads up to 4.5 tonnes.
  • 80mm Cabro: Heavy-duty industrial grade blocks engineered for container depots, petrol stations, factory yards, bus terminals, and heavy access roads carrying lorries.

The lifespan of any paved driveway is 90% determined by what lies beneath the blocks. If cotton soil is not excavated, or if the sub-base is not compacted with heavy vibratory rollers, water infiltration will cause sinking, wheel rutting, and block displacement.

At Pro Pavers, we excavate to solid ground, lay compacted gravel/hardcore, spread sharp bedding sand, install robust edge kerbs to prevent lateral sliding, and compact the final blocks with fine silica jointing sand.

Yes! While our primary manufacturing yards serve Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, and Kajiado, we coordinate bulk delivery across Kenya including Nakuru, Naivasha, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nyeri, and the Coast. We arrange dedicated crane lorry transport for fast, safe offloading.

For standard interlocking Double-T and Tri-hex cabro blocks, exactly 35 to 40 blocks are required per square metre (m²), depending on the pattern and border cut wastage.
